Gilbert & Gaillard Gold Medal
Platter Review: 4*

The wine has a vibrant light straw colour with a brilliant pale green edge that catches the light. There is an abundance of Cape gooseberries, green apples and passion fruit on the nose. The wine enters the palate with concentrated flavours reminiscent of the nose. The finish is refreshing and crisp with a slight oyster shell salinity that makes it quite moreish.

Food Pairing
This wine is best enjoyed cold on a hot summer’s day. Either on its own or it can be served with grilled chicken, fish, prawns or fresh oysters.

The Estate
Tokara stands for excellent high quality wines. With the Tokara Sauvignon Blanc , it created a wine that entices critics. The fresh white wine received many awards in recent years and vintages, amongst others the Silver Medal at the Michelangelo Wine Awards and the Gold Medal at the Old Mutual Trophy Wine Show. The winery wants to continue this success with the Tokara Sauvignon Blanc which will most likely work out.

Ageing
The Tokara Sauvignon Blanc matured in steel containers for six months in order to develop its natural aromas. After a few years in the cellar it will still be excellent yet gourmets should serve it right away.
